Once you scheme are approved, install the plant through any registered vendor of your DISCOM.

Special Chief Secretary of Energy Department K Vijayanand asked the district collectors to create awareness among the people about the PM Surya Ghar Yojana scheme and ensure that registrations and installations increase.

It is estimated that up to Rs. 8 thousand will be saved per year. Under the Surya Ghar scheme, a roof top with a capacity of one kilowatt, producing 12 units, can be set up in a 100 square foot area. The cost for this is around Rs. 60 thousand, but the government will provide 50 percent, i.e. Rs. 30 thousand, as a subsidy. The remaining amount can also be obtained as a loan from banks.
